We all know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It fuels you up with energy in the morning so you can easily go through the day. A healthy and nutritional meal in the morning not only gives you an instant boost of energy it is also scientifically proven that kids who do not skip breakfast do better in school. But what about adults, you may ask? Well, they are simply less irritable and tired, a reason enough to have breakfast in the morning.

This does not mean that you can eat everything that comes in your hands. Your breakfast should be a healthy meal rich with fibers, proteins and good carbs. We will give you some ideas about what food is good for you, that does not mean you should strictly stick to this list, but you will get a general idea of what you can eat in the morning that is good for you.

Kiwi

Kiwis might have a bit of a sore taste, but that will help you wake up better. They are rich in Vitamin C just like oranges are and they are also rich in fiber, copper and potassium. Thanks to the fibers, kiwis are also known to help in weight loss. You can always combine kiwis with some other sweeter fruits and have them in a smoothie.

Bananas

Bananas are considered to be one of the best fruits ever. The main reason many people prefer to have bananas for breakfast or as a snack is because they keep you fuller for longer. The best part is they are sweet so you can fight your ‘sweet tooth’ with a banana. There are so many ways you can eat bananas, you can slice them in your cereals or your oatmeal, or you can blend them with some other fruits or with milk only to have the best and the healthiest smoothie.

Japanese people have invented a diet which is becoming very popular in the Western countries as well. Namely, they eat 2 bananas for breakfast with a glass of water. This way they have the good nutrients and a full stomach.

Oatmeal

There are so many good things in oats. They are rich in potassium, omega – 3 fatty acids and fibers. They are also rich with beta-glucan which is good for lowering bad cholesterol levels. You can add fruits to your oat meal to make it sweeter. And try to avoid adding sugar or any sweetener. If you still think that they have the blunt taste, then you can add some honey.

Greek Yogurt

In some Eastern countries people eat Greek Yogurt with everything. And they are right to do that because Greek Yogurt is twice as nutritious as compared to regular yogurt. This is another food that keeps you full for longer and it gives you an instant boost of energy.

Grapefruit

Grapefruit is known for having special fat burning enzymes which regulate the insulin levels in your body and increase the fat burning process and it is also rich in antioxidants. You can pair grapefruit with eggs in the morning and have a completely power packed breakfast.

Strawberries

Strawberries are known to be rich in antioxidants and low in a calorie, which makes them the perfect fruit for breakfast. Just couple of strawberries in the morning can fulfill your daily intake of Vitamin C.

Eggs

Eggs are the easiest option for breakfast. Couples of years back eggs were considered as not so health friendly food. People believed that they contain too much cholesterol and can cause heart problems. Now it is confirmed that eggs do not have any effect on heart diseases and are the greatest choice for any meal. They are packed with vitamin D and proteins.

Coffee

You probably thought that coffee would not make the list, but it did. Coffee does not only wake you up in the morning but it also has some health benefits which can help you increase your life span. It allows you to stay active throughout the day. Our only advice would be to avoid putting too much sugar in your coffee.
