Loading up your meal with healthy fats is not the worst thing that you can do. But, remember calories do add up and if you want to lose your weight or even maintain it, be careful. Because these super foods can make you super fat in no time.

Before you devour your mini meal of nuts check the recommended serving size so you will not wreck your diet.

Acai Berry. Acai berry is the newest trend coming from Brazil, this fruit is rich in fibers and antioxidants. The thing is that they deliberately forgot to mention that it has even 247 calories in only 100 grams from which 26 grams are carbohydrates. This healthy breakfast can cost you even 600 calories, and that is way too much to start the day with, unless you consume the fruit at home and control your portions.

Dark Chocolate. Dark chocolate is known to be full with flavonols which are loaded with antioxidant benefits which fight the free radicals. But before you decide to add more bars to your snack remember that this guilty pleasure has up to 170 calories, and 12 grams of fat and even 24 grams of sugar.

Chia Seeds. Chia seeds are known to have an abundance of omega – 3 fats, fibers and antioxidants. But before you start adding chia seeds to your mals remember that only 2 tablespoons contain up to 120 calories while 80 are from fat.

Flax Seeds. Flax seeds are known to be rich with proteins, fibers and omega – 3 fatty acids. But, even 2 tablespoons from these seeds can add up to 100 calories to your meal and 78 from those coming from fat.

Avocados are so popular throughout America thanks to the very trendy avocado toast. It is seemed that this toast contains all the nutrients that the body needs to survive. But think about it this way, one medium avocado has 232 calories and 188 of those calories come from fat. So it may be the most perfect food but you still need to consume it into moderation.
