You can walk along the pedestrian streets in Colmar and admire the beautiful canals, or sit down for a cup of coffee. Everywhere you look you will see half-timbered houses that are centuries old.

When to Visit Colmar?

Colmar is a town that you must visit at least once in your lifetime, so no matter when you visit the town you will enjoy it. But, there are two occasions that you should not miss and that is Spring in Colmar and Colmar Christmas Market.

There is no other city in the world, as far as I know, that celebrates springs like Colmar does. School children decorate the houses, the town square is also decorated and you can buy different traditional products at the market.

During the Christmas time Colmar shows its true colors. The old town is decorated and illuminated and it looks like a vintage fairytale postcard.
