Autumn Around the World

(Last Updated On: October 25, 2018)

If you do not mind the occasional rain fall and temperature drops then you should consider autumn the perfect time to plan your next trip.

No matter what your destination may be it turns out that autumn is the most wonderful time to travel. The crowds are long gone, the air is fresh and the landscapes are dramatic, and I couldn`t agree more with what Anne of Green Gables said “I`m so glad that I live in a world where there are Octobers.”

Don`t you just want to soak up the last bit of sun or settle in late afternoon for some tea covered in blanket and watch the colorful leaves.

It is funny how everyone feels depressed when the summer is over and they start posting their #throwback photos from their last summer holiday wishing for the summer not to end, and rarely do they decide to travel during autumn and embrace what our nature has to give to us.

Even if it is autumn it does not necessarily mean that the rain is going to pour for days, and even if it does there is no point in focusing on a negative aspect of it. There are plenty of activities that you can do when the weather is not on your side. You can visit a museum or have a long lunch reminiscing with your travel buddy.

This year we went to Montenegro in September and I have to say that it was perfect. We were able to enjoy fall to the fullest, swimming and sunbathing all day long. But, my favorite part of the whole trip was the fact that the sun was not scorching so we could take day trips to different places. We managed to visit almost all coastal towns without feeling tired and hiding in the shades, like we would normally do in the mid of July or August.

Traveling in autumn is cheaper as well, which is another thing that you should embrace. You can find some great deals and at the same time you will save some money for your next adventure.

The best of all is you can enjoy the colorful leaves on the ground and enjoy some breathtaking views. It seems that nature has its crescendo in autumn. You cannot witness this beauty everywhere unfortunately, but if you are lucky enough to live in a place that transforms into a blaze of red, orange and yellow leaves then you should welcome the season with open arms.

So, it is not late for a last minute holiday before the winter sets in, check out where you can travel at this time of the year. I hope that these images will inspire you to book your next trip.
