Life is better in your 30s

(Last Updated On: November 18, 2018)

Have you heard before that life is better in your 30s, at least that is what popular culture and internet is telling us.

Even scientists are backing up this notion. They believe that your 30s are the time you can really enjoy your life.

All your insecurities are left in your 20s and you should not worry yet about the midlife challenges that 40s and 50s bring.

This is the age when you finally have things figured out. You know what you want and what you want to accomplish in your life.

There are a couple of things that you need to learn to excel in life.

Find a Job You Love

After college we all start experimenting and change jobs that are appropriate at that point in your life, at least I am well aware of that.

Back in my 20s I would accept any job with flexible hours, or I would move to the other end of the world just so I can travel.

By the time you are 30 you need to find the job that brings pleasure to you.

That is the only thing that will allow you to advance and develop in both your career and life.

Learn to Cook

Learning to cook was a real challenge for me, since I used to eat on the go and I love fast food.

Do not be afraid to experiment, and do not give up if your meal is not exactly picture perfect or tasty.

Take it from me, now I have a dish that no one else can prepare it better than me, spaghetti bolognese, thanks to my secret ingredient.

Keep your Personal Life For Yourself

It is not okay to always complain about your partner, if you want to have a real relationship.

In case you are feeling anxious and you want to open your soul to someone than you should make an appointment with a professional.

They will listen carefully and analyze both yours and your partner`s behavior.

And, as a result, you will find the right solution to your problems.

Have Priorities

You are always in a rush, trying to do as many things as possible.

With time we realize that we put too much effort in things that turns out not to be that important after all, forgetting what life is all about.

In the end, we all remember the places we traveled to and the time we spent with our family.

Trust me, once you get old you will not reminisce about the time you have spent in the office or that big project you managed to finish on time.

Make a list of your priorities, if necessary, and stay true to it.

Find the time and money to travel

If you spend all your time juggling work and home, you will end up exhausted.

So, instead of buying the latest mobile phone, add those money to your “travel budget”.

Have a Side Income

By the time you are 30 you should have figured out how to have a side income.

There are plenty of gigs that will allow you to earn extra money even though you have a good job.

You can start working as a freelancer or start your own blog, or you can even learn a new skill.

Overcome Your Stage Fright

Most of the people are afraid to talk in front of a crowd, and maybe that was okay while you were younger but not when you are approaching your 30s.

People who are not afraid to talk to strangers or in front of many people are more respected. Some might even say that they are more authoritative.

Once you learn the power of expressing well, you will see the true power of words.

Read Classic Literature

There is a great reason why we were reading classic literature back in our school days.

Probably we were too young back then to realize the deeper meaning of literature and the insight it is giving to its readers.

Stay Healthy

Leading a healthy lifestyle is the only thing that was not on my list of things to do back in my 20.

That was probably because I never had problems with my weight, but once you approach your thirties everything changes.

Try as hard as you can to eat healthier and to exercise regularly.
