Living in a Tiny House

(Last Updated On: December 9, 2020)

Looking for some peace and quiet, we have decided to invest in a property outside of the city.

I have always been torn between the idea of living in a busy crowded city on the one side, and on the other side, I really love living in a place where I don’t have to get up too early because of traffic noise.

The Best Day Trips from London

Back in my youth, when I was thirsty for knowledge and experiences I liked to move around and explore different cities, different cultures, and meeting new people. It may sound like a cliché, but that was how I felt at the time and back in the time when I was traveling I was so excited planning my route and packing. It was even exciting to come back home and unpack, and feeling fulfilled because I have managed to visit a place that I have been dreaming about for so long. I have experienced life in a big city and I also used to live in the outskirts of England, and what I think now, it all depends on what you need at a certain point in your life. Living in England probably explains my obsession with small cottages.

Nowadays what I need is a steady job and some peace and quiet and to do what I enjoy doing. During the pandemic, we couldn’t travel so we decided to buy a property that was half an hour drive away from our house. Still close to the city but far away from the noise and pollution.

So, now we are in the process of building a small tiny house where we can go away whenever we want and we can work from home. One of the best benefits of being a freelancer is having the ability to work from anywhere, as long as I have a good internet connection.

How to Become Freelance Blogger

The whole idea of planning and designing our new home is so overwhelming. I also took up gardening and find it very therapeutic so I am also in the process of planning where to put my orchard, for fresh and organic fruits and also I am looking forward to planting my favorite flowers, and there are many, I can`t even begin to count.

It definitely is going to be a challenge to get used to living isolated for a while, but I am sure we will be okay since me and my partner are very adaptable.

Another interest that I have lately is taking care of houseplants and succulents. Some say that these go hand in hand. Being a freelancer I spend a lot of time in front of my computer, so taking care of the plants is one of the few things I can do that relaxes me. I managed to collect some rare plants, and keeping them alive makes me really proud. Here are some photos of my beautiful begonias, and some succulent arrangements that I have made, and in the future, I will keep you posted on my garden and my tiny house.
